Medical Evacuation |

If a medical problem or an accident occurs while traveling abroad, IPA will arrange for the transportation of the patient to the nearest suitable medical facility for stabilization and treatment. According to the gravity of the patient's condition, an air ambulance fully equipped with resuscitation facilities will be dispatched with a medical team of specialists on board to escort the patient during the transport. Immediate admission to the hospital will be arranged as well as consultation with appropriate specialists.

Repatriation after treatment |

After stabilization, the patient may be escorted to his home country by the most appropriate means of transport.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains/Ashes |

In the event of death, IPA will make all the arrangements for the repatriation of the remains or ashes of the deceased and will take care of legal formalities.

Compassionate Visit |

If hospitalisation is necessary for a period of more than 10 days in a foreign country, IPA will arrange for one of the patient's family members to visit.

If the traveling companion's air ticket becomes invalid because of staying behind to take care the patient, IPA will arrange another economy air ticket and hotel accommodation for the companion.

Return of Children |

IPA will arrange for the return of the patient's children (under the age of 18)

Unexpected Return to Country of Residence |
|
If a member's close relative passes away while the member is traveling aboard, IPA will arrange for the transportation for the member to return home country.

Hotel Accommodation for Convalescence |
|
If medically necessary, IPA will arrange the hotel accommodation for the patient's convalescence as well as the daily transportation of the patient to the hospital up to 5 days.

|
While traveling abroad, a member will be able to call IPA Alarm Centre to obtain the address of the nearest suitable medical facility.?He will, as well, be assisted in securing his appointment with the specialist. Should a second opinion be needed, he may consult the IPA doctor for advice.
